The Project

Braddock Metro Place Investors, LLC, (“BMPI") has received full building permits to construct a 165 unit high-quality apartment building at 1260 Braddock Place (formerly 1261 Madison Street) on the one remaining undeveloped parcel of the former Parker Gray School site within a block of the Braddock Metro Station. The development utilizes an affordable housing height bonus under Section 7-700 of the Zoning Ordinance and will provide 10 affordable, workforce housing units on site for 40 years as well as a 10,000 square foot public park area on the Madison Street side of the building. The project broke ground in February, 2013 and is targeting completion in December of 2014.
